PAST PERFORMANCE IS AN INDICATOR OF FUTURE RESULTS

In 1979, the company was founded as Talentape, by Earle Greenberg and his mother, Joyce Stern Greenberg. This dynamic duo's talent agency pioneered the use of 'videotaped auditions' for orchestras and variety acts throughout the midwest.

In 1980, armed with a degree in Tv/Film Production from Northwestern University, Earle expanded the business with VideOccasions - offering video production services to the hundreds of clients booking entertainment for weddings and other events. The company currently videotapes over 100 weddings per year with its staff of 10 videographers and 3 editors.

In 1983, Talentape was sold and Earle completed his MBA from the University of Illinois while simultaneously teaching Advanced Tv Production on campus. In an effort to combine his experience in creative video production and his training in strategic marketing, he expanded the video production staff and started a corporate video production division. Since then he has produced and directed promotional and training videos for hundreds of corporations and associations. A sample client list and a variety of demos are viewable on the web site.

In 1998, to address an increased demand for photo montages and personal and corporate video biographies, Greenberg hired additional staff to operate that segment of the business as LifeStorease: The Custom Builder of Family History Videos.

In 1999, Earle expanded the company into the production of computer based training for corporations utilizing Flash and proprietary software called "The Puzzleizer". Server based and Intranet delivered programs created by Greenberg and his staff. have been responsible for the self-directed training of tens of thousands of employees around the globe..

In 2001, again utilizing in-house developed software, (and rooted in Greenberg's desire to create visual art that didn't require a tv and vcr for viewing), Custom Photo Mosaics, Inc. was born. The one-of-a-kind works of art created by Custom Photo Mosaics, Inc. can be ordered at over 60 retail outlets in 10 states. They quickly became popular for gifts and displays at anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, b'nai-mitzvahs and fund raisers. A link to samples can be found on the website.

In July of 2002, Greylin Mosaics, a partnership of Custom Photo Mosaics, released a series of mosaic prints of Chicago. They were created from over 1000 images photographed around the city. These prints are currently sold in stores all over Chicagoland. Greylin's "White House" mosaic was licensed by The Great American Puzzle Factory and released nationally on August 1, 2003. In November 2006, a commissioned mosaic for Sweet 'N Low was hung in the Brooklyn Historical Society. Other commissioned mosaics are in production corporations. Personal mosaics are hanging in the offices of Mayor Richard M. Daley and Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois.

On January 1, 2004, in honor of their 25th year in business, a merger and corporate branding program put all event, family history and corporate video production services under the name, Chicago Videoworks, Inc. In February 2008, Chicago Videoworks was featured in an article in Crains Chicago Business on personal and corporate video biographies..

Taking 2006 out with a bang, Earle decided to test market a new venture called: You Edit It, the do-it-yourself video editing center, which enables anyone with basic computer skills to come in and learn to use editing equipment at Chicago Videoworks to create their own family history videos and montages (all at a very reduced price).

On weekdays you'll typically find the staff in our green studio creating virtual studio magic. Some amazing virtual studio productions can be downloaded from the corporate samples section on the site. On the weekends, the staff can still be found videotaping weddings for Chicago's "movers and shakers."

In the summer of 2008, testing began with live multi camera webcasting. In September, the service was made available to our corporate clients at www.webcastermaster.com and in 2009 was made available for weddings with www.weddingdaywebcast.com. We also rolled out our portable green screen services where our clients can act as faux news and weathercasters on beautiful virtual television studio sets.

These are just some of the highlights of our 31 years in a business which is continually evolving and expanding and where we have strived to be first in creativity and innovation, in order to better serve our clients and to keep us really interested and excited about what we do.
